Equipment mounting on your emergency units must maximize use of available space while allowing easy and ergonomic access to crucial equipment. We provide services that meet those needs.

We provide equipment mounting services for new units and for existing units (retrofit). Our mounting services can be completed on site in your station or remotely, according to your needs and budgets. They can also be completed step-by-step over a period of time to respect budget constraints.

THE PLAN

We prepare this plan based on your input and our experience with countless departments like you. This plan puts down on paper the direction of our mounting efforts, whether completed in one go or completed step-by-step over time. Again, your input is crucial to this plan. Once in place in its final form you’ll know before it arrives where to install any new piece of equipment.

Once the equipment location plan is confirmed we prepare a detailed proposal with costs per compartment or for the whole unit, according to your preferences.

We prefer simple over complicated. Simple is also generally cheaper than complex. At Proactive Solutions an ideal mount allows you to see all the tools as soon as you open the door. Each tool is securely mounted, access to each tool is easy and ergonomic without having to move anything out of the way.

In our first meeting we’ll note all the compartments dimensions, review the tools in place (or to be installed) and discuss with you their location on the unit. We’ll also review

The unit’s role within your operations structure
Can we standardize the placement of equipment on this unit with the other units, or is it a unit with a specific role?
Do the tools in place meet current regulations requirements?
Are some tools superfluous or obsolete?
On an existing unit how can we use the existing structures to reduce mounting costs?
Can we locate equipment so that their access becomes intuitive?

The location plan that we will submit to you will take into account all your answers and you will be able to “see” what is possible: structure, efficiency, ergonomics.

Quality components for your safety

Mounts with a life-time warranty
We generally recommend PAC mounts: they are expensive but the product quality is excellent and PAC honours the life-time warranty. Our experience enables us to suggest the most cost-effective PAC mounts. If PAC does not offer the mount you need we can recommend other mounts.
M-Traks extruded aluminum panels
Designed and produced in Canada, easy to install, versatile, they are compatible with the inserts provided with PAC mounts. Their profile also allows you to use 3/16’’ nylon lock nuts to install mounts. Once in place they allow you to mount and move equipment without having to make holes in the compartment panel. This prevents damaging wiring, hydraulics or anything else behind the wall. We cut the M-Traks to your specific dimensions (height, width) at very competitive prices.
Pro-Slides aluminum pull-out slides
Pro-Slides pull-out slides are locally designed and built. They offer a 600 lbs capacity, are entirely built of aluminum and stainless steel, 100% extension (less ½’’), and automatic locking in the opened and closed positions. Their unique design offers durability, sturdiness and an unsurpassed ease of roll.
